Lindsey
Schwindt lives in McPherson, Kansas. She
was homeschooled from elementary through high school and then attended Central
Christian College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocal
Performance. After college, she began her own private music business,
offering piano and voice lessons, directing homeschool children’s choirs, and teaching
online music courses through CurrClick (since April 2011). Lindsey is now married and a full-time
homemaker and part-time music teacher.
Lindsey
loves vocal performing and has had the following opportunities-- to play
the leading role of Narrator in the play Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat, sing The Star-Spangled Banner several years at the local area Scottish
Festival, give a concert at a local coffee shop, and vocal direct for two
theater productions. Some of her
interests are to garden, bake all kinds of bread, run, crochet, read, keep a
tidy home, travel, make her students laugh and encourage others.
Teaching
is a joy for Lindsey and she loves to interact with her students, to see them
understand, laugh, and learn in her classroom.
She has a heart for homeschoolers and wants to provide them with an opportunity
to discover and appreciate the art of music.
Her mission statement is this: Through
fun, interactive and engaging classes, I strive to pass on my love of music to
each student in the hopes of instilling musical concepts, broadening musical
interests and building confidence.
Lindsey’s
class list continues to grow to include courses in the field of Music Theory,
Music Appreciation/History and Music Fun.
At present, she offers 15 different course titles throughout the year
and hopes to add more.
